Declan Gregg and Robin Warren are
speaking out for horses. Robin, also
known as Wild Mustang Robin, lives in
Nevada, where she is working to bring
protected status to horses born in the
wild.

On the other side of the country, Declan
Gregg was 8 when he  learned that
horses were being slaughtered in the
United States for human consumption
overseas. He says it made him feel
terrible, so he started a blog and got a
letter-writing campaign under way.

Since founding Children 4 Horses in
1912...
Declan has worked with the Million
Horse March campaign to collect
letters from children to inspire
lawmakers to end the slaughter of
American horses.
In the nation’s capital, he represented
more than a thousand children when
he presented their letters to legislators
in Congress.
Again in Washington, Declan met with
Congressman Frank Guinta of New
Hampshire, sharing his opposition to
the inhumane treatment of horses and
persuading the congressman to
cosponsor the American Horse
Slaughter Prevention Act (S.1176/H.R.
2966). He also addressed the New
Hampshire legislature about a horse-
protection law for the state.
